Art, Design & Creative Industries Events - March 2010
ABC Awards is pleased to announce that it will be holding events in March 2010, across the country to launch its new suite of flexible qualifications in the Art, Design and Creative Industries sector, designed for the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

The purpose of the day is to provide new and existing centres with the chance to explore, discuss and receive key information on the qualifications that ABC Awards have to offer in this sector as well as have the opportunity to network and share best practice with industry colleagues.
These events, including materials, lunch and refreshments are free of charge.

The Fashion & Textiles Update Events were held in July at two locations - ABC Awards (ABC) Nottingham Office and the Fashion & Textiles Museum, London.

Motor Vehicle Studies Roadshows (March 2009) - Event Report
The Motor Vehicle Road Shows were held in March at two locations – ABC Awards (ABC) Nottingham Office and East Berkshire College, Langley. Their purpose was to give new and existing providers of the qualifications the opportunity to explore, discuss and receive key information from subject specialists and have the opportunity to network and share best practice with industry colleagues.
The ABC Motor Vehicle qualifications were redeveloped and restructured for the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) for delivery in September 2008 and an overview of the qualification and main changes were provided by the Qualification Specialist at the events. Other speakers included case studies by existing providers and representatives from the Sector Skills Council (SSC), IMI, provided updates on the key activities taking place within the sector.

Fashion & Textiles Launch (November 2008) - Event Report
Three launch events were held in November 2008 at 3 different locations, to introduce the Framework to existing and new ABC centres. The locations were across the country, the Textile Centre of Excellence, Huddersfield, Fashion & Textiles Museum, London and ABC Nottingham Office.
All were extremely well attended, with the focus primarily on the framework structure, the different levels and rules of combination. Delegates were provided with course materials and an explanation of how the credit system should be applied. Speakers outlined how the qualifications will provide wider and closer links with industry.
