Section 1. How to use this web site

• +How do I become an ABC centre?

  Click the link to the ' How to Become an ABC Approved Centre' page.

• +How do I find qualification information?

  Click on the Centre or Learner 'Click to search' box on the home page and filter your required results OR click on  'View All qualifications' at the top of the home page OR scroll down to the foot of the page and select the sector you are interested in.

• +Where can I find information on fees?

  Click the link to the Fees page.

• +How can I find if a centre near me is offering the qualification I want to do?

  Click on the 'Find Near Me' orange banner on the Sector page and filter by your required results.

• +How do I create a user account?

  Only centres that are approved to offer ABC Awards qualifications will be able to log in.  Check with your Examination Officer for your log in and password.

  Please note that approved centres and subcontractors will be sent logins and passwords w/c 30 January 2012. If any documents are required in the meantime, please contact your ABC Qualification Administrator.

• +I am using Internet Explorer 9 and can't login.

  If an approved user tries to open a private document in IE9, the login screen may flit across the screen and/or the page may freeze. Try using the back button, then login via the blue login button at the top of the page.

• +How can I make on line registrations?

  Click on the ORS link at the top of the page and log in as normal.

  Please note that the login for on line registrations is the ORS link/text on the top navigation panel and not the blue login button.

• +How can I submit results?

  You can submit results on an MS1 form which can be downloaded from the ORS system. For full details download 3006-01 Claiming Certification which can be found on the Information for Examination Officers page.

• +Where is the examination timetable?

  Click the link to the Exam Timetable.

• +How do I find events and exhibitions?

  Click the link to the Events pages.

• +Can I book directly onto an event?

  If the event is one being offered by ABC Awards, there will be a booking form attached to the event information which can be completed and submitted on line.

• +How do I find all documents relating to a particular qualification?

  Go to the qualification page you want information on and click the document tab at the top of the page. 

• +Can I download qualification information?

  If you are logged into the web site as an approved centre, you will be able to download documents.  If you are not logged in you will only have access to ABC's public documents.

• +What do all the document codes mean?

  Public Documents - Available to all

  D16 = Units and Rules of Combination documents
  D14 = Qualification Information Sheet
  SSC = Sector Skills Council Assessment Strategy Document
  ER = External resources complementary to ABC qualifications developed by external partners and endorsed by ABC

  G = Qualification Guide
  QG = Assessment guidance specific to a qualification or subsector
  UG = Assessment guidance specific to a unit
  AT = Templates to help assessors/learners track learner/assessment progress, in particular, Learning Unit Achievement Checklists
  FT = Tasks to support evidence of achievement
  RT = Tasks specified/required in assessment criteria eg externally set questions for independent assessment, statement of intents

• +What is the QCF?

• +How long does it take to get my certificate?

  Certificates are dispatched to the centre within a maximum of 20 working days from the date ABC receives a claim. For full details please download 3006-01 Claiming Certification from the Information for Examinations Officer page.

• +How do I order a replacement Certificate?

  Replacement certificates can be requested on form 3006 R6 Replacement Certificate Application which can be found on the Customer Service page.

• +How do I find out who my moderator is?

  Contact your ABC Qualification Administrator. You can find the name of the administrator on the relevant qualification page or from the Contact Us page.

• +How can I get hold of missing exam papers?

  Contact your ABC Qualification Administrator. You can find the name of the administrator on the relevant qualification page or from the  Contact Us page.

• +How do I get past papers?

  Past papers and many other resources can be accessed from each qualification page by approved centres. If you are not yet an approved centre visit the How to become an ABC Approved Centre page to see what ABC can offer.

• +How much will it cost to do a particular qualification?

  Most QCF qualifications are calculated on a price per credit basis plus a moderation fee. Some qualifications have fixed prices. Visit our Fees page for full details.
  

• +Can I use your logo on my centre's marketing materials?

  Only approved centres can apply to use the ABC Awards logo - complete the Logo Usage Form on the Customer Service page.

• +How do I make an enquiry about a result?

  If you are a learner, contact the centre where you completed your studies. If you are a centre, please refer to our Enquiries and Appeals policy which can be downloaded from the Customer Service page.

• +How do I appeal against a result?

  If you are a learner, contact the centre where you completed your studies. If you are a centre, please refer to our Enquiries and Appeals policy which can be downloaded from the Customer Service page

• +How do I find out about reasonable adjustments?

  You will find guidance on how to apply and the types of reasonable adjustment that can be offered on the Information for Examination Officers page.

• +What are special considerations?

  Special consideration may be given to learners in extenuating circumstances. Details of special considerations can be downloaded from the Information for Examination Officers page.

• +What do I do about suspected malpractice?

  Malpractice and/or Maladministration should be reported to ABC's Quality Manager. The malpractice and maladministration policy can be downloaded on the  Information for Tutors/Assessors page

• +How do I register Learners?

  Click on the ORS link at the top of the page and log in as normal.

• +How do I make a complaint?

  Complaints can be made by completing the contact-us enquiry form or in writing to the Quality Manager. For full details of how ABC manage complaints, please download 3004-01 Complaints Policy from the Customer Service page.
