  • How do I become an ABC centre?

  • How do I find qualification information?

    Click on the Centre or Learner 'Click to search' box on the home page and filter your required results OR click on  'View All qualifications' at the top of the home page OR scroll down to the foot of the page and select the sector you are interested in.

  • How do I find Qualification Documents?

    Click on the Sector / Sub Sector you require, which will show a list of all the qualifications available. Scroll through to find the qualification required and click on the link. On the qualification page there are 3 tabs Qualification Summary, Unit Details and Documents. Click on the Documents tab to view all relevant documents available for that specific qualification.

  • How much will learners have to pay to register or enrol late?

    Late Enrolments and Registrations that fall outside of the normal timescales may be subject to an administration fee.  Visit the Administration Fees section here for further information.

  • How can I find if a centre near me is offering the qualification I want to do?

    Click on the 'Find Near Me' orange banner on the ABC Sectors page and filter by your required results.

  • How do I create a user account?

    Only centres that are approved to offer ABC Awards qualifications will be able to log in.  Check with your Examination Officer for your log in and password.

    Please note that approved centres and subcontractors will be sent logins and passwords w/c 30 January 2012. If any documents are required in the meantime, please contact your ABC Qualification Administrator.

  • I am using Internet Explorer 9 and can't login

    If an approved user tries to open a private document in IE9, the login screen may flit across the screen and/or the page may freeze. Try using the back button, then login via the blue login button at the top of the page.

  • How can I make on line registrations?

    Click on the ORS link at the top of the page and log in as normal.

    Please note that the login for on line registrations is the ORS link/text on the top navigation panel and not the blue login button.

  • How can I submit results?

    You can submit results on an MS1 form which can be downloaded from the ORS system. For full details download 3006-01 Claiming Certification which can be found on the Information for Examination Officers page.

  • Can I book directly onto an event?

    If the event is one being offered by ABC Awards, there will be a booking form attached to the event information which can be completed and submitted on line.

    Go to the qualification page you want information on and click the document tab at the top of the page.

  • Can I download qualification information?

    If you are logged into the web site as an approved centre, you will be able to download documents.  If you are not logged in you will only have access to ABC's public documents.

    Public Documents - Available to all

    D16 = Units and Rules of Combination documents
    D14 = Qualification Information Sheet
    SSC = Sector Skills Council Assessment Strategy Document
    ER = External resources complementary to ABC qualifications developed by external partners and endorsed by ABC

    Private Documents - For approved centres and subcontractors
    G = Qualification Guide
    QG = Assessment guidance specific to a qualification or subsector
    UG = Assessment guidance specific to a unit
    AT = Templates to help assessors/learners track learner/assessment progress, in particular, Learning Unit Achievement Checklists
    FT = Tasks to support evidence of achievement
    RT = Tasks specified/required in assessment criteria eg externally set questions for independent assessment, statement of intents
    QU = Qualification Update

  • What is the Quality Licence Scheme

    The ABC Quality Licence Scheme is designed to support organisations to develop and deliver programmes to meet local and national need.

    The scheme offers organisations the freedom to develop programmes that can be recognised by ABC Awards for their quality, valid learning outcomes and assessment at a specific level.

  • How long does it take to get my certificate?

    Certificates are dispatched to the centre within a maximum of 20 working days from the date ABC receives a valid claim. For full details please download 3006-01 Claiming Certification from the Information for Examinations Officer page.

  • How do I get past papers?

  • How much will it cost to do a particular qualification?


    Most QCF qualifications are calculated on a price per credit basis plus a moderation fee. Some qualifications have fixed prices. Visit our Fees page for full details.

  • Can I use your logo on my centre's marketing materials?

    Only approved centres can apply to use the ABC Awards logo - complete the Logo Usage Form on the Customer Service page.
