CNHC Statement on ABC Qualifications

ABC has received the statement below from the Complementary & Natural Health Council (CNHC) regarding current and new ABC qualifications in Complementary Therapies.  This should be useful for both centres and learners as it is very clear on which of ABC's qualifications meet the entry criteria for the CNHC Register. About... Complementary Therapies

ABC Awards has professional qualifications for learners interested in Complementary Therapies, such as Reflexology, providing learners with the essential knowledge they require to pursue a career in this discipline.  Learners will study basic principles and practice and Physiology and Anatomy of Reflexology practice.

Learners may consider taking these qualifications as a way to work for themselves and develop their own business in future.

New ABC Qualifications in the Complementary Therapies Sector

ABC Awards has developed a suite of qualifications in Complementary Therapies which provide the opportunity for learning and assessment to take place through the integration of practical activities.

The suite is a revised and enhanced range of qualifications that includes Aromatherapy, Massage,  Reflexology and combined Complementary Therapies.  These qualifications have been developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders in response to requests from the professional councils and the revised registration requirements of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

ABC will be offering the full suite of nationally recognised qualifications in Complementary Therapies from September 2012.
