ABC Awards is pleased to announce their suite of Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications in Employment Related Services.
Designed for staff who are involved in advising and supporting young people and adults into work, these qualifications aim to raise the performance of practitioners to offer the required support and guidance to young people and adults to enable them to move into sustained employment.
Where it may not be necessary for some staff to complete all units, we provide the flexibility for centres to develop a bespoke package which will suit the needs of all staff providing an Information and Guidance service to learners.
The suite is made up of the following qualifications:
Level 3 Award in Employment Related Services – 5 credits from one mandatory unit which provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding of the employment related services sector. It explores the programmes and services delivered, what underpins successful practice and how the use of labour market information can improve service delivery.
This unit appears as a mandatory unit in all qualifications in the suite.
Level 3 Certificate in Employment Related Services – 20 credits from 4 mandatory units. In addition to the unit in the Level 3 Awards, other units explore providing excellent customer service, managing own professional development and ensuring compliance with legal, ethical and social requirements.
Level 3 Diploma in Employment Related Services – 37 credits. 20 from the mandatory group which are the same units as those in the Level 3 Certificate, and 17 from units in the optional group which look at a range of issues linked to communication skills, customer service, equality and diversity, liaison with related services and advice and guidance.
Level 4 Certificate in Employment Related Services – 21 credits. 15 from 3 mandatory units and 6 credits chosen from optional units looking at improving own performance, the mentoring / coaching role, identify learning needs and planning progression, using diagnostic tools, working with colleagues and stakeholders, managing teams and equality and diversity.
Level 4 Diploma in Employment Related Services – 37 credits. 15 from mandatory units as in the Level 4 Certificate and 22 credits from optional units exploring similar issues as the Level 4 Certificate.
These qualifications contribute to IEP (Institute of Employability Professionals) membership criteria.
