Preparation for Life and Work
ABC's qualifications in Preparation for Life and Work have been developed to allow learners to acquire a number of skills to be able to successfully find and retain a job, or to have a platform which allows them to undertake study. They are designed to offer the experience, confidence and the knowledge needed to deal with common situations in life and work. This includes skills that deal with everyday problems.
The Level 3 and Level 4 Awards in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector are introductory teaching qualifications which prepare learners for teaching in a wide range of contexts and do not require learners to be teaching. The qualifications have been developed to meet a requirement of the Further Education Teachers' Qualifications (England) Regulations 2007 and related contractual requirements introduced by the funding agency at the same time. Achieving the qualifications will provide sufficient evidence that an individual has acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to teach beyond an initial year in the FE sector.
