About The Qualification
This qualification offers a user-friendly method of continuous assessment and knowledge tests that enable learners to achieve a level of competence suitable for progression to further courses and into employment. It is also an ideal scheme for employers wishing to offer training for the purpose of specialist skills development. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:
- Health and safety in fabrication and welding, including relevant legislation, and the application of safe working practices within a workplace.
Optional units include: Fabrication of Thick Plate, Metal-arc Gas Shielded Welding, Engineering Drawing, and more
Progression Routes: What's Next?
Learners who complete this qualification can progress to further vocational training, such as continuing onto ABC Awards Level 2 Award and/or Certificate in Fabrication and Welding Practice.
