What is the Quality Licence Scheme?

At ABC Awards we recognise that there are many organisations who offer high-quality training and learning opportunities without using regulated qualifications.

Our Quality Licence Scheme has been designed specifically for you – to recognise your commitment to high-quality courses and to offer you the freedom to develop courses which meet your needs, as well as the needs of your learners.

Being recognised by our Quality Licence Scheme demonstrates to the people you work with that you are committed to delivering a high quality of learning and that you have been endorsed by a leading national awarding organisation.

How does the Quality Licence Scheme work?

As part of the Quality Licence Scheme, we review your provision against the following elements:

  • Leadership and Management
  • Resources
  • Quality of Courses
  • Delivery and Quality Assurance

These requirements are used to quality assure your provision and ensure that you meet the high standards we expect of an organisation associated with ABC Awards.

Once you have been approved, you will be able to promote your courses with the ABC Awards Quality Licence Scheme logo, and have access to our online portal. You will also be included on our website under the list of Quality Licence Scheme Approved Providers further down this page.

The courses which are approved by the Quality Licence Scheme are owned by you, the Provider, and your learners will receive an ABC Awards branded Certificate of Achievement and unit summary on completion of their course.

While ABC Awards aims to provide exceptional customer service to its Providers, it is the responsibility of Providers to provide all of the relevant details about the course to their prospective learners and to answer any questions they may have. We will, however, support you by providing statements which you can use for advertising and which explain our relationship.

Advisory Support

We have a team of experienced and knowledgeable auditors that are available to help and support you both before, during and after your QLS audit. Our team can provide you with both remote and/or onsite support tailored to your individual needs. Support that other Providers have benefited from include the following:

  • Understanding the Standard & What It Means in Practice (Onsite/Virtual)
  • Implementing Effective Approaches to Quality
  • Undertaking a Pre-Audit and/or Self-Assessment
  • How to effectively meet the Standard
  • Pre or post approval bespoke support

What are the costs involved?

We offer a simple and transparent pricing model with no hidden fees. The model has been designed to provide you with the flexibility and freedom to respond to local, national and customer needs regardless of the sector you operate in, allowing you to add any number of new courses to the scheme at no additional cost.

Our one requirement is high-quality courses – we don’t have any minimum requirements for the size of your organisation, the number of courses your offer or the number of learners you deliver courses to.

Annual Licence Fee: £2000
This fee includes a site visit, access to the online portal, and is not subject to VAT. This fee is applicable to UK Providers only.

Learner Certificate of Achievement: £8 per certificate
