Fashion Capital Launch Trunk Show – First stop Manchester
Thursday 30th March marked the launch of the first Fashion Capital 2017 trunk show at Manchester Art Gallery.
FashionCapital.co.uk is the UK’s leading portal for the fashion industry and is the sister company to ABC Awards Showcase Centre, Fashion Enter Ltd.
Having just renewed their ABC Awards Showcase Centre status, it is fantastic to see Fashion Enter go from strength to strength and offer these Trunk Shows across the UK to really lift the lid on the inner workings of the fashion industry.
Recognising a Centre for it’s successes whether it be for outstanding tutors, learners, connections with industry or state-of-the art facilities, there are many reasons why our Showcase Centres represent best practice in their individual sectors, and Fashion Enter is a great example of this.
ABC Awards supported the event, which was hosted by Freeths, comprised of two three-hour seminars attended by universities, students, lecturers, brands and individuals looking to gain insider knowledge from the top.
Through the Trunk Show, the team at Fashion Capital, were able to provide guests with a wealth of knowledge from industry experts that together have over 30-years of expertise and insight in the fashion industry.
Jenny Holloway, Director of Fashion Capital, provided a presentation on the history of Fashion Enter, starting right at the beginning in 2010 through to present day. Jenny’s presentation highlighted the Stitching Academy, the Modern Slavery Act and how a manufacturer becomes Fashion Forward audited and SMETA Approved and what this actually means for a British Manufacturer.
Attending the event, Bernadette Done, ABC Awards Business Development Manager, said:
“ABC Awards was delighted to help support the first Fashion Capital Trunk Show in Manchester. The speakers were all so interesting and knowledgeable. It was clear that attendees took a lot away from the event and it was great to see the fashion industry getting the promotion it deserves.”
